Looks like an interesting project. Is yours prior to 1969 & the 48cc or post 1969 & 56cc?
Man, that's a funky looking saw. Love to hear that running!
WTG!

I believe it is the 56cc version, I'll get more details as I unearth the ancient manuscript engraved in the cover.
Who knew it'd be an archeological expedition also!

Aren't the tips of these bars removable?

Imagine when it's all nice & clean, lubed, running... that'll be a good feeling.

:(

This chain is pretty mean too.

Looks like the rakers/depth guides were lowered a LOT... or just camera angle perhaps.

It looks like they were lowered a lot

Check out the cover, looks like it's from a whole different saw, and there's a part number! (Last few pics)

Looks like a later model due to the name plates. Mine uses .404 chain. I have some extra loops but need to count the drivers.
It always had lots of torque but was heavy and as already said, lots of vibes. It uses a governor system on the throttle.

Very nice condition, I got mine when cleaning out a storeroom from a dealer closeout. Saw was never fired but had a couple parts robbed off it, muffler and chaincover/oil pump reservoir. Replaced the parts but still never fired it.
