I did this liitle job last week and happened to have the camera with me. I would like to ask a few questions of the group. What would have you charged for this job and what would have you planned it to take you. I'm always open to comments and suggestions so let me hear what your thinking.
I had to remove the second and forth tree. The #2 tree was in behind the first tree's canopy and I obviously did not want to disrupt. I ripped up the tree and then when I was as high as I dared go I tied off the tree with a lead rope. I then cut my notch and dropped the top. The top flipped right over the canopy landing next to the mugo pine. I then dropped down and dropped the spar. For the next tree I could have simply notched and dropped it but I wanted to get a few pictures so I ripped the first 20 ft. or so while my groundie played photogragher and then I dropped down and notched and dropped the tree. I was in and out in less than 2 hours.
