One of my oldest pals is still involved in racing and owns this winged pavement sprint car.
Back in November they ran in the show at the Bullring at Vegas and the driver, Brad Aumen, wore a Go-Pro for his run in the B Main, where he finished second and made the A Main, where he finished 9th. overall.
They run a 360 ci engine against mostly 410 engines but hold their own.
Here's the car at our local track last year. Driver Brad Aumen is one of the sons of Scott Aumen, now retired from driving but a major player for a decade or so in the PNW race scene.
I raced on this track in 1971 and Tom Turner, owner of this car now, pitted for me back then.
He's come a long way.
