Very nice saw:rock:...so now the hunt is on for a 044 and 064 I see? It never ends hahaha. Good luck on your new search sir.

How these things even exist is beyond me, I have heard of impulse buyers, my wife is a fine example of one of those, but some dude in the Husky shop needs a 288 at that moment then realizes he doesn't when he gets home... Awesome, great find... etc. etc.
I'd be too tempted to fire it up even if I didn't need it lol

Hey Bryan, have you seen these?:D

Yes, I'm harassing another member, lol:ices_rofl:
That is not very nice.......

Never fear Rory, they're on my "watch list" now. :D :ices_rofl:

Lucky you... I could not afford this one when I saw it... otherwise it would be a different story. Sorry that you did not get it at the cheaper price.

I didnt mind paying the new price. I have never bought anything from ebay. As I have reasoned it out, the intermediate owner took all the risk buying from someone they didnt know, on a saw that they werent sure was NOS until they got it in their hand, etc. All that was confirmed and I was able to buy it "worry free".

When I see the term "lite", I think of low-calories, beer that really isn't, watered-down, or something that comes up short.

Husky should have spent more time on a better model name.

Anyways, congrats and enjoy!!

without the front spring and hightop cover it is slightly lighter than the 288xp, hence the term "lite". Lite vrs XP didnt matter to me. I wanted a Mint one and wound up with a NOS one. Im stoked.

Let me know if you want to sell your beater 288 Lite please.

I dont have any beater saws. I have "useable" saws and a "collectable" catagory. On my favorite 2 series models I have 1 of each. My ported 288 lite is my favorite saw that I own. It's the first Husq saw I ever held. It caused me to see the light and take off the "Stihl" blinders. It was Randy's personal saw. It's the saw I grab more than any other, irregardless of the cutting.

Was it you who had the mint 262, or Clint?

You call 'em like you see them. I'm just adding your 288 to my watch list... ya know what I mean?
