The black lever in the all the way down position doesn't even touch the choke lever. There is no way to actuate the choke with this set up. Are there wrong parts put together in this saw?

No what you see is the mcs all the way down and it still doesn't even touch the choke lever. There is no way you can make the two touch each other. When you push the switch all the way down the lever arm on the cross shaft contacts the choke lever tang in the filter to close the choke. I can see the black cross shaft of the master control is there and should operate correctly.
your pic looks like your choke lever is not the whole way down. did you have trouble starting the saw?The black lever in the all the way down position doesn't even touch the choke lever. There is no way to actuate the choke with this set up. Are there wrong parts put together in this saw?

It is as far down as it will go without breaking the plastic master control switch. His switch is not all the way down in his first pict, to get it all the way down the throttle trigger needs to be fully depressed while pushing down on the choke switch.
Okay I figured it out, the spring is bent so that I can't push the lever all the way down unless I physically push the spring out of the way.His switch is not all the way down in his first pict, to get it all the way down the throttle trigger needs to be fully depressed while pushing down on the choke switch.
