Just when you get alittle steam up here in NE after a long cold winter....SNOW. 6" yesterday. 2"-4" today, and maybe 2" more Friday.
Who is responsable for sending this up here from da south?
I know it is possible to work in the snow but this late in the winter it is a mind thing. You don't want your ropes to get wet AGAIN. Snow falling behind your neck from branches as you climb, groundies crying there feet are cold....etc.
I am just blowing off steam. I am sure Erik is feeling the same.
Anyone else up north getting frustrated?

It's that great transitional time of year! You never know what you'll wake up to: snow, sleet, rain, or maybe sunshine at 65 degrees. Generally, though, we can bet on mud.
Yesterday I was up in one of those trees that spread all over and had to bang the ice off every place I wanted to hang out. The key I found was to double line every position and take my time.

Yea. I am glad you guys are still working. Sure we can work, but this late, to get snow after a nice run, it is a mental thing. A mind f___ if you will.

Ice in the trees, be careful my brother!!

We got about 6 inches in IA on Monday. Sioux City got 18"! The wet heavy sloppy kind too. The kind when you look at it wrong you get stuck in it if ya know what I mean. Plus the frost just came out of the ground and its so muddy ya cant do anything. Everything gets covered in muck and all wet. I'm waiting for things to dry out some. Beginning to see some plants coming out the ground though and some trees are budding out. It won't be long now!

The running gag around here is "it's not May 10th yet!"

We had around 2 feet that weekend a decade or so ago.

It was in the 80's the day before when i was on the phone from Lejeune. I got on a plane to suprise my Mom on here birthday/mothersday. Changing planes in Charolet the piolet said it is 32 and snowing in MKE.

I was dressed for a lot warmer :D and had planed on taking the bus home
