Snowmobile delivered me to the mill, tractor started right up, 13hp was happily purring away, log deck loaded.

Freshly sharpened band, chucking out 2x6's like a handful of spaghetti.

Then it happened.

Realized after an hour I wasn't wearing my long underwear. Too darn cold today to be without em!

But spending some extra time last night sharpening that band made that pine like butter :)

That'll motivate you to keep moving. Congratulations on a good day. They're the ones that keep us going on the tough days!

I was milling for a woodworker a couple of years ago. His spine was so arthritic, he looked like a question mark when he walked. I was hitting nails, the engine was running rough, and the solenoid for the hydraulic power feed (TimberHarvester) went out, and I was trying to finish up pushing it by hand. I muttered something about it being a bad day, and he just quietly asked, "would you like to trade one of your bad days for one of my good ones?" I shut up and went back to work.

Now that is something for us all to remember. Crane
