Need help on safety lanyards

thanks for the advice "EVERYONE" . even the harsher ones! I bought that solid braid derby rope cause it was big and strong and looks like climbing rope and its the only thing availible in my immediate area. couldnt find an arborists store anywhere till ifound this site and y'all helped me out! like I said before i did climbing for a tree profressional and even topped some pretty big ponderosas using a sthil 064. But now im on my own so for a little while I'll stick to lawn care a small tree work until I get some classes and experience, and more money, heck all of its going into lawn equipment, for now. I'm not a cheapskate, but like someone said earlier you gota spend mony to make money, thats what im doing. just for now I needed a small climbing set up for small job's at least. that derby ropes $100 for 200 ft didnt realize till i got it home and opened the box and it said "DO NOT SUPPORT HUMAN WEIGHT" on it! but now I know thanks to y'all.

Try a wire core flip line for a lanyard, instead of rope.
