I have a wright c70 and can not get the carb tuned right i think it has the wrong carb on it. It has a carter on it but from the pics. i have seen of the ones on these saws something is a little off. All the ones i have seen have 6 bolts holding the bottom on with a bolt on bottom plate but mine has 4 bolts holding a round disk pressed down with the bolts any help would be helpful i don't know if this is just an early version of the saw or what because the does not have the kill switch built in to the trigger like most of them either. if anybody knows here i can find on of these carbs please let me know

I know the c70 came with a carter, but without pictures I can't tell you if it has been modified from your description. If the kill switch isn't in the trigger , where is it located? I can't remember if I have a spare carb, but post up some pictures and if we can't help you with what you've got, then I'll dig thru my parts. Usually the simplest answer is the correct one, so I'm betting that your carb is the right one but needs a rebuild kit from sugar creek supply, as the oem diaphragm is nla, and that your kill circuit has a bad ground.

If the kill switch is not on the trigger, it should be on the handle - see photo. I don't know which years had which switch but my B520 blade saw also has the switch on the trigger. Funny, I've built two of these and have no photo of the carb but it should have "Carter ND" stamped on it.

I picked up one a couple of weeks ago but have not done anything with it. CBFarmall rebuilt one earlier this year, he may have some advice.

the carb has carter nrd stamped in it instead of nd and when the carb is on the saw the choke lever is in under the air cleaner instead of sticking out the back hope yall can help me with this

The NRD takes different fuel pump diaphragm. It has a brass eylet through the diaphragm on one side. I'll post a parts blow up shortly. They're not as easy to get as the ND but can be found. I don't recall if the NRD on my C50s looked like that on the bottom.

Here are the parts diagrams. There should be an eyelet in the pump diaphragm - #113. I'm not sure of the function. I was able to pull the old one out carefully with a sheet metal screw so I could re-use it. Then you could use the ND fuel pump diaphragm by punching a hole for the eyelet.
The main diaphragm in the parts drawing has screws through the plate, not around it.
I'm going out now to get some photos of mine.

yeah got a kit for it cleaned it all real good had to cut down the bottom diaphragm as the only one they offer on a kit is for the six bolt cover but cant get it to adjust out like it starves for fuel i was thinking it might be from a c50 as the choke lever on them point the same way but don't know if a c50 carb can flow the right amount of fuel to run a c70

though i better put what all has been done the the saw to help eliminate some guess work totally took apart cleaned new bearings and crank seals and new gaskets cleaned and filed points and reset cleaned carb and put in new carb kit but still have to turn low screw out two turns just to get it to idle have to turn high screw out almost two turns to get it to speed up but as soon as u try to cut with it dies out boggs has no power saw has 100 psi of compression so should have power

Here are some carb photos. Left and right side of the C70 w/Carter ND and a C50 with Carter NRD.
If the diaphragms are stiff, I've had success by soaking them in brake fluid overnight.

Thanks for the diagram buzzsawyer. I just got a remington 660 and it looks like the same carb.
