need parts for 056 magII

just got hold of an 056 magII from work. put fual in it fired right up ( had to play with the carb a little) only problem is that its missing air filter cover and it needs a new filter bad. I know that 056 parts are getting hard to find but i knew that you guys would have a good idea were to find such parts.

By the way iam a newb but have been on ab for a while now and have also rebuilt an 066 by reading threads on this site, you guys helped a lot!

The air filters are available from Stihl; the filter cover is not. Plenty on Ebay though...

ya i work for the feds when a chainsaw is not working correctly they through them away, to much paper work and usually gsa ends up throwing them away anyhow. so every once and a while i take a peek in the scrap metal and find old saws that are sometimes easily repaired

I'm not. The guy wants an airfilter for a Subaru and obviously thinks this 056 mag thread is the best place to look. After all, don't all 056Mag2 owners also have subarus???? :monkey: :monkey: :monkey:
