Well I hate to bring this drama to a close so abruptly but when I arrived this morning it was all gone except the kindling. (there wasn't an ash pile she didn't burn it) I don't know where it went and don't care, drove right on by and put a fork in it it's done. Wow this thing really took off, Spider was right when he stated that all I was concerned about was legally being able to take the wood. Just to respond to a couple of the threads before I put this thing to bed. I should have stated the OBVIOUS she does not heat this house with wood. If this was in deed the case it would be a no brainer and under no circumstances would I have even considered taking the wood. (Did see a fire pit in back yard) I was not the least bit concerned if I hurt the husband or buddies feelings, willing to have a man to man talk with either of these dudes any day of the week. Was concerned about the husband saying I stole it and having Mr Doughnut eater parked in my driveway! (Hence the signed paper) And finally to the poster that said how would you feel if your wife sold your wood piles out from under you. Buddy if I took off with another chick and that is ALL she disposed of I would be grateful. To be honest I would be totally surprised if after a week there was ANYTHING left in the house that had my finger prints on it. Appreciate all of the feedback and was going to use a couple of the suggestions if this thing had worked out. Enough of that. Going to be in the 50s today in North Central Iowa so thinking it would be a great day to head for the woods and cut MY OWN firewood.
