Need Some Info

Howdy! Maybe some of you in here can help me. I was recently given an electric chainsaw from a relative's estate and have no information on it. It's an electric chainsaw made by Porter-Cable, model #156 and has the serial #431. I've searched all over the internet and have found nothing. I called Porter-Cable and they had no information at all! The only information I found that possibly narrowed it down was that the nameplate on the side says "The Porter-Cable Machine Company", i found on the net that eventually the company changed its name to just "Porter-Cable" after 1956. Other than that....nothing else! So, if any of you could help me nail this down that would be great....Thanks!!

Porter-Cable was Rockwell was Porter-Cable was Rockwell, a time or two.  They have been a long-standing good name in construction/woodworking tools.  They are also affiliated with Delta.

If PC themselves couldn't help, information may be quite hard to find.  I'd try Rockwell.

What type of info are you looking for?  Does the unit need repair or something?

yup, Delta and Rockwell... my 14" bandsaw in shop says on nameplate .... "Delta Mfg. Division, Rockwell Mfg. Company, Milwaukee Wisconsin"

I appreciate the help! I'll let ya'll know what I find out. The unit doesn't need repair...I just wanted to get some information on it....like when it was made and if parts can be bought for it.I also sent pictures of the saw to Porter-Cable....we'll see what they come up with. Thanks again!
