so i looked thru a few of the old threads and couldn't find an answer to this: Are the waist belts on ness saddles adjustable in any way? how about the leg straps? from the pictures it seems that the only adjustable portions are the little bits of webbing that hold up the leg straps at the back.

The waist belt is adjustable (has a friction buckle for continuous adjustment). The leg straps are sized seperately when ordering. The New Tribe site has a chart. It is possible to order small leg straps on a large waist belt if needed. The strap design is such that cinching them down is totally unnecessary. I use large leg straps on an X-large belt. That works but on my next Ness I will order a custom waist belt for a perfect fit (there isn't a problem with the waist adjustment but the design which connects waist to legs via the Delta link necessitates a narrow range within each size for a perfect fit-I'm on the outside of the XL range). The leg straps are fine. Love my Ness!

Yup, what Stumper said! The most critical part of the fit is the distance between the waist belt and the delta link, although I think it's possible to use a slightly larger or smaller delta/pear link (I like the pear link better) to get it just right. I love my Ness too!

got any action pics of how you fellows have yours set up with gear and lanyards et al?

and how about the buckles for the leg straps, do either of you have them?

Sorry, I don't have any good ones, and my boss took the digital camera to Puerto Rico with him for the next three weeks. If nobody's posted any by then...

Oh, and no I don't have the leg strap buckles, but I can see how they would make putting the saddle on a bit easier.

Ive never felt the need to adjust the legs, I move them short to long depending on what I'm doing; lots of sitting on the rope I let them out a little, if I know I'm gonna be standing on my spikes a lot I suck them up tight. But diameter wise they are always a little loose and I lke em like that so I can wiggle around.
My ness is about 4 yrs old (I think) and it has been great to me. Still have not switched the delta for a pear, but I want to.
