My first winter in Southern California started out so well with only 2' at thanksgiving time and then by Christmas it started snowing. After New Years it started snowing then it snowed some more until there was 10'. The main highway to our community was shut down for at least two weeks and most of the access roads were shut down for a month. Then gradually we received less and less snow and rain until we were in a drought. When I look around at the other AS members snow it looks beautiful. What we got was a a foot or two of nice snow then it rained froze and started allover. Now we have white and brown concrete which pretty

much slowed my IH crawler down. The snow mixed with ice is so tough that as soon as I BRM1.jpgtry to move it I st BRM6.jpg art digging up the road and concrete so am waiting for a little more thaw. However warmer weather is fast approaching. Thanks

83 degrees and sunny here today. Had more snow here this year than I have ever seen. Over 3 months of not getting into the mountains has been hell. Hopefully it stays warm and dries out enough to get out to the good spots.

Better you then me. :)

We are currently getting drenched in rain. High 40s. It sure feels like the snow is gone for the season. Now I get to slog around in the mud for a month of so. :(

Not sure what part of wny ur in but up here in northeastern Niagara County we have gotten about 18 inches so far. I noticed south of me yesterday they had like 6 inches and I came home to 13.

Im 40 mins north of Syracuse and Syracuse is reporting 18" as of this morning. Binghamton is reposting about 24" as is areas down in the finger lakes. Its so windy here on the eastern edge of lake Ontario that its hard to tell how much snow we actually got. You might have a drift chest high and in 30' its just a covering on the ground. I cut and pulled about 5 cord out of the woods this past weekend in the 10F degree weather with no snow. It was most ideal. I was hoping it would stay cold and frozen as I have a lot more I would like to cut. The snow might slow me down but I think its manageable. Drive safe out there.

My boss canceled our job today because of the weather so I'm sitting at home playing with my son. I can't see any of the trees I cut down last week after the wind storm. I wanted to cut them up but I didn't get a chance now I can't see them. I'm happy I brought wood in Sunday though my stacks are buried.
