I wouldn't worry about the 2.5 turns out setting. the 335 carb, and some other new carbs with limiter caps do not follow the old guideline of 1 to 1.5 turns from the stop as centerpoint. It is more like 2-3.5 turns. If it was only out one turn, the factory did it wrong.
I have only had to adjust with my latest 335, the modded one, a couple times, one was today, . It is still a screamer, after a year plus of hard use.
By the way, geofore, it was made in 2000, and ran pretty well, though doggy, before I had it Walkerized. My first ones were built in 97 or 98, and were the ones with carb and oiler issues, etc. However, one of those three easily outcut my new one in stock form, and even chewed up most 020T's.
I'll bet the new 339's wil have all the bugs worked out.
