Man I dont know why I did this but I got an old 910E Jonsered, came with a 32" bar and .404 chain. Thought I would change the driver sprocket to 3/8ths (no problem) and change the Windsor sprocket nose to 3/8ths (Problem) so I could use new 3/8ths chain. Got a new windsor nose from Baileys and it doesnt fit the bar. It says Windor on the old nose and the bar just has a part # of F73X and 2151 below that. Now I have two loops of new .063 chain and it seems the new bars available for my unit are all .050 rails. Anyone try and redrill and widen the slot on a current husky bar for use on this old Jony/poulan/homlite style mount? Any other options/suggestions Thnx bman

HI bman, bman here. If you overlay a Husky HU style bar over your Jonsered HO style bar you will see that the chain adjuster and oiler holes line up precisely! You will only have to open the slot for the hold down studs about .5 mm and your done! Geeee thanks bman, you must be a well traveled saw tick! Oh no bman, Im just a guy who used two ounces of brains to figure it out, anyone could of told you that! Wow bman, Im gonna go post this on AS.com and share it with everyone! someone may be in need of a 32 or 28 or 24" 3/8 .063 bar for a old Jonsy and all they have to do is get a newer Husky HU mount bar, why I bet even Baileys might have those in stock! Thanks again bman, your a swell feller. Not at all bman, glad I could help. bman

Hmmm....check the details on your saw first. The old Jonsey mount not only had a wider slot but also a fatter tail. On some saws using the narrow tail will mean that the chain rivets get pinched between the case and the clutch cover. You can address that with spacer shims but if you have to mod a bar to fit and are going to buy the bar to modify then there are better options.
