Any Who, to the OP, I run a 371 and a 372 both with a 24" bar. That is a good balance for that saw IMO. Can they run a 28",sure, would they or you be happy doing it all day, no. I would look at least 80cc to hang a 28" on. My 2 cents.

Back to the original question. My 365xt was a real dog with a 24" bar buried in hardwood, but it did provide plenty of oil. I suspect it would oil a 28" just fine, but I bet you would be disappointed with the performance. Like others have mentioned, removing the baffles from the access covers really helps.

If boxing up a saw and dropping it off to mail is too much of an inconvenience you have a lot bigger problems than the folks that piss you off here. Like as not if someone DID go to your residence you couldn't bother yourself with answering the door.
