Anyways, Greetings! My name is Joe, 35yo, just got out of the Army a couple months ago and getting re-acquainted with this chainsaw addiction thing. Just found this website after talkin with my soon to be bro inlaw (SierraNevada on here). Bad ass place to hang out!

So I've got a bit of downed tree clearing, falling some standing dead stuff (digger pine and oak) and various other work to do this week, and spent today getting the fleet all geared up, fueled and sharpened etc. Here's a couple pictures- (most of these saws belong to my bro in law, my gramps and a friend)

From left to right- Stihl MS-180C 14", MS-210C 16", 026 20", MS 361 24", Stihl 056 Super 28", and a 75cc 372XPW 32". (My favorite saw)

And just for the hell of it, I threw these other saws on the tailgate for the photo shoot-

Homelite C72 20", Homelite Super XL Auto 20", and a totally hammered 272xp with ring and crank issues-

I've really been eye balling a 390XPW w/32 and 36" bar for my first saw purchase in a loooong time. (Had a 268 years ago...great saw) Handled one along with a 372XPW and a 395XP today...That 390 felt awesome in my hands!

One more question before I quit.....how the hell can I get ahold of a coil for my bro inlaws 056 super? :msp_confused:

An interesting end to a productive day of cutting firewood-

This is the intersection of Highway 174 and You Bet Rd just outside of Grass Valley, CA-

That's a hydraulic dump bed insert full of a couple thousands pounds of firewood that my bro in law and I had just cut. The pictures were taken after I bulldozed it out of the middle of the road with the truck. Was about 2:30 in the afternoon...I had just come down 5 miles of You Bet rd...mostly 15 & 20mph corners going down and coming out of the Greenhorn creek "canyon". As soon as I turned onto highway 174, we heard what we thought was a piece of wood shifting in the back. I didn't think much of, bro in law looked out the back and got to see it part ways with the truck and launch out into the middle of traffic. Not one piece of wood fell out though, and no one died. If it had come loose anywhere on You Bet Rd...it would have been bad. :msp_blink:

The clamp style mounts that hold the dump bed frame to the bed of the truck were loose and chose that moment to blow apart. Borrowed the truck from my gramps...moral of the story, don't trust in anyone else's maintenance plan, (or lack thereof) always go over things yourself!

It's now permanently welded in...gonna take either a grinder or a torch to get it out now.
