New Husqvarna 390XP

I have been needing a bigger saw for a while and sprung for a Husqvarna 390XP. I bought it as a power head and added a 28" TsuMura light weight bar to it, with a full comp chain. I also have a skip chain to try out as well.

I just put one tank through it today running it gentle. So far I am impressed. People say they are heavy in the woods, but running it in the woods for almost two hours walked in, I didn't find it bad at all.

I do really like it so far and cant wait till it wakes up after some use.

I would like to do a muffler mod, but will probably wait for a little bit. Maybe I can do it after a few tanks but not sure if I should.

Don’t bother waiting on the MM. it will run cooler and will ad a tiny bit more power/torque.
Now, get a 36” with skip and you’ll be set

I will throw on the skip tomorrow and do some cutting. Kind of thinking of buying a 8 pin to try it with.

might have to open your high needle up a smidge if you port the mffler- rebuit one last week and ported it- with the proper numbers and everything I expected out of that saw- like wow

I have a brand new never fired 2021 version and am just sitting waiting for my 36" XTough Light bar and chain to come in. Went with a 3/8 x .063 Full Skip 115DL chain. Cant wait. Mine shipped with a 20 IN bar. How silly....
