Sooooo, back on the topic of the wifey MS210. She cut with it a while and it seemed a bit dogged. Also, it started kind of hard. Poor her. I had her cutting chips off a 12" popple, prolly like 2 tankfuls, and maybe a hundred fifty chips, just to break it in, she loves doing that. The thing wasn't cutting any better than when we brought it home a few days ago. So tonight, I knocked down another little tree for her to cut up. Thing was still doggin'?!?! I just didn't get it. So I commenced to checking everything over. I figgered after reading about what I've learned from you guys(yur the best guys) about how to adjust your carb etc... I'd start from scratch and see what I could do and check to see if everything was right. Get this. The L was about 2 turns out, the H was about 5-6 turns out. Who does this? I started from scratch, turned them all back in to zero, then one turn out, actually manual said 1/2 on the L, the H said 1 to 1 1/8th. I did this, then adjusted it up a little bit. I gotta tell ya, we were both really really impressed. I pulled the muffler apart and the plug to make sure it was running brownish and not too black or too light brown. This baby really cooks. The little chik'n, that's her name btw, was exceptionally happy with the new saw. Said it'll outcut that husky 137 any day of the week. Here goes the question. Is that normal for a carb to be adjusted like that? Is it possible that the dealer didn't adjust it and just sent her down the road? I also thought from the gitgo that it was running wayyyy rich and it was a little smokey. Any thoughts??? Is there anything else I should check if my dealer didn't check these other things??? One thing to note, before it was taking like 20 pulls to start, now it's like 4 or 5. Much better. Thanks dudes.

Sounds like you're good to go. Remember the other night we were talkig about too rich? Case in point. Rich is better than lean, but too rich is just as weak and can cause wear and tear as well. A dirty saw is a worn saw. I'm surprised it ran at all without flooding out.

Glad you got it running right.

Actually, it was flooding like a biotch. It flooded on her 3 times. Then I had to pull the plug out and dry it, then pull it like 10 more times. That shoulda been a clue. You were right, you were right... OHhhhhhhhh his greatness...
