To start with I use kerosene and brushes to clean the saw with plenty of compressed air to do an initial cleaning after breaking the saw down into it sub assemblies, that of cource after removing the magneto assembly so as to not get it wet or soaked with solvent. I then pressure wash everything I can. On the Mall 6 I reassembled everything after I got the parts I needed to get her running and made sure she would start. From there I disassembled the saw, sandpapered, scrapeed, steel wooled, wire brushes and used everything including dental pics to remove paint, etc. I then washed everything using Simple Green an plenty of hot water to do a final cleaning and dried everything. I did some more steel wooling, blew off any debre and primed her and repainted her. Took almost 2 weeks to just clean and repaint. Sure would be faster with a glass beed machine, maby someday. May be alot of hand work, but I enjoy the results. OK, talk later. Take care. Lewis.
