I received my new SC852 today. Anybody have one? A little different then my RG50 but I am excited to try it out tomorrow.

Have a good one!

I'm more than jealous. Mind letting us know what it set ya back?

That's it? You'll blow through those in a few weeks w/ that 85 horser!

I'm a little disapointed they didn't offer it with tracks. Did you get the wireless remote or is it even available yet?

I love the wheeled machines over tracks but that is just me. The SC60 has tracks on it.

The SC852 has no options on it.

I demoed the SC60. Their brand new machine broke on the demo. Even putting that aside, I wasn't impressed.

I was told by the Vermeer sales guy that the 852 will have a remote they just haven't finished with it yet. That's why I was asking. I would NEVER spend that much money without a remote.

As far as the wheels, do you have to unbolt the wheels to get thru a gate? That was a royal pain on the little Rayco I used to have. Now, I just hit a button on the remote, squeeze the tracks in, and drive right thru with "Babe - the blue Ox" (Carlton SP7015 TRX) and get busy.

Got to be the season, gotta love it. I just picked up a bandit 250 with a JD 125 and every single option on the list pretty much, less hyd jack I think-used. A customer just sold me a snap-on toolbox for 1500 that was sitting in a shed we took a tree off of, was her sons, he moved and shipping was out of question due to cost. Before tax new the thing was 3980. Gotta love it. How many toys can I accumulate this season and still plan for that F'n winter??.....:monkey:

I have had a carlton machine in the past and would not own another one....but hey some guys like stihl others don't. I am sold on Vermeer and service was a big part in that decision. I have had other machines and when it comes down to service, IMHO, no one is better.

I expect there will be problems as it is a new model, not just a new machine. I have waited for Vermeer to come out with something to match the rayco 50, super 50 and 90 in a wheeled machine.

Yeah a remote would be nice but if you are going to drop that kind of coin, I don't like to "hope" i can get parts and service. Been down that road with rayco, bandit, carlton, morbark, etc.
