New Solo 656

Must ge a regional thing. the ms260 saws that I see seem doggy to me. But I am running customers saws.

The 260 is doggy, the 651 is just doggier. At least the fairly new one I ran against my new 260 several years ago.
Neither the 260 or the 651 are a match for the 346, let alone the 5100.

I have a jonsered 2051turbo that will spank my 5100. But I have not run any other 2051's that will run with this one. Mostly because mine has been taken care of! The 651 was and is a good saw of older design but will hold it's own with just about any of them.

The 2051 was a real hot-rod in its prime time..........

I am very familar with the 651 there is a dealer here who sold a ton of them. The one on there web site now is diffrent than the ones I have seen. Almost everyone of them that I have run will tach out between 13,500 and 14,000 and have power to spare. The west coast versions have a lot of power! The new one on the web site does not look like it would accept a west coast filter system so it may be detuned from the ones I have seen. The reason I am so currious is I have been thinking of adding solo to my store since the current dealer has basically retired.

Does anyone have a MSRP for the 656? Any online dealers worth doing business with? It's kinda cool looking, might be fun to get modded the heck out of if the price is right...

I never did hook up with the Solo guy.....I thought he was supposed to call me....maybe I'll call him back tomorrow

In looking closer at their top handle it does not look like it will serve my intended clients but I have not ruled it out
