Well got the new to me free stove installed and burning. After a lot of clean up and many coats of paint, I installed the liner and put the stove in. The biggest pain I had was I barley had enough room for the square to round adapter and my arm to connect the liner. So far it does good and I haven’t had to fire up the wood furnace in the basement.

Those are great. I️ had a new insert installed several years ago. Everyone says they aren’t as good as free standing and I️ understand what they are saying but if your house has a good masonry fireplace and flue why not install a stainless insulated liner and enjoy the heat.

Yeah I’m on the outskirts of Frederick. More towards the WV line.
