I am new to climbing and need help choosing a harness.

I bought off amazon this harness: (the red one) Weaver WLC-300 for 441$ CAD
https://www.weaverarborist.com/c/pr...?cat_id=our_products&node=positioning_saddlesSeems and feels nice. Strong and heavy duty.

Second option is
Camp TREE ACCESS ANSI ST harness (the black one) i can get for about the same price 450$ CAD
https://www.securitelandry.com/en/product/camp-arborist-harness-tree-access-ansi-st/
What do you think about the differences in features on both harnesses?
The weaver feels comfortable when putting it on on the ground (have not climbed with it) but the Camp seems to have more padding?
What about construction, heavy leather on the weaver and heavy webbing on the camp?

Any pointers is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I have a Weaver similar to this one with 2 floating d's and padded leg straps. You're gonna want padded leg straps in you're in the tree any length of time. The Weaver is rock solid kind of no frills and will get the job done. As others mentioned the MB saddles are nice too and likely more comfortable. I have no discomfort with my Weaver but I'm not in mine everyday either.

Yeah I figured that much for the leg padding. I read about the monkey beaver harness and they seem good.
I did eventually buy the camp harness just because I was able to test it in store and got a great deal on it. Thank you for the input

I would get something cheaper if you are just starting out. CAMP one is nice. I saw one on ebay for $200 USIMG_0519.png
