Picked up this 1989 (+/- 1year) 044 recently. It wasn’t oiling the bar when I first got it. I’ve replaced the oil pump and it works now but leaks when sitting so today I’ll be taking it back apart to make sure the rubber o-rings are seated properly.
The saw runs great otherwise. I got a bark box and 3 point dogs from West Coast Saw. I was recently in Oregon and was running someone’s saw with square chisel chain and loved it. I picked some up for this saw and now I just need to get the hang of sharpening it.
She’ll also be getting a good cleaning today after cutting some dirty aspen snags.
