I bought a 372xp from a guy about a year ago. It will crank and run, but not very well. Very low on compression. Pulled muffler and see pretty bad scoring and ring stuck on piston. I have a good extra cyl but dont have a piston to go with it. My question is concerning finding a popup piston or should I just build back using a normal flat top. What are any advantage of using a popup. I know it raises compression, but is that it?. Also what other piston will work in the 372. its the old model, not an xtorx. I havent torn the saw down yet, but did have it pressure tested and it tested good. All the plastics look good, which is why I bought the saw in the first place, to be able to fix another 372 that is missing a few pieces.
