Has anyone used that grappling hook sold by new tribe? If so could it be used to transverse from one tree to another, or is it just to snag throw lines?. Its pretty small(maybe to small?)but its only 25.00. A nice little grapple hook could some times come in handy. Beastmaster

I don't think it would hold much weight to be safe. I know you are not hanging all of your weight on it just using it for traverses. I have been looking around for something similar like the one they use on Helli Loggers but have not found exactly what I am looking for (mostly ebay searches). I think the one they use only has two tines from memory. I might just have to make one.

you can find ones very similar to ones used in windfirming and heli logging for tree to tree movement but they aren't cheap. Here is one of the few that are well made.
