Too old, too tired, too cranky, too angry, too much don't care to deal with the cops and idiots.
I'm a pooper, but no DUI and it twenty feet to go to bed when I am ready!

:agree2: :agree2:

Amateur night out there. Never mind the weather. Having a nice glass of wine here by the fire. No woman this year though  But then again, maybe that is a good thing?

I stayed home but somehow managed to be awake at midnight. I got a kiss from the ole lady and went to sleep. I quit partying many years ago on New years cause of too many drunks, including me.

Just got home from work, was a cold windy night. Ended the year on a bit of a bummer note. I nailed a deer with my brand new squad car. Took out everything up front including a radiator. Wasn't much I could do, it was right at a bridge and he bounded out about 20 feet in front of me. I had just got this car in September after my last one was totalled by a drunk driver flying into a working crash scene. (Both were 2008 Ford Explorers)

Everyone here loves photos so I'll throw a couple up. No injuries, just the airbag fallout. Deer was paralyzed and had to be put out of its misery. Back end was pretty beat up so nobody wanted to take it.

OWB was almost out when I got home but there were just enough coals to get it going with just wood.

Happy New Year guys.
Steve

My party days are in the history book. 8F last night + the wind blowing to 35 mph. Went to bed at 10, got up at 4:30 to load the Harman. Have to remember to write 09 now, that'll take me until spring..........

Leaving for work in a few minutes, good reason not to party. Normally, we stay home anyway and fall asleep on the couch.

My wife and I have not gone out on New years for many years but did go to a Bluegrass Jam get together last night with friends and got home around 11.00pm. I went to bed and the wife stayed up and watched the ball drop on the Tv. It's 5 below this morning and I am going to meet a neighbor and look over a 50 acre woodlot he owns that I may be getting a pile of wood off from this winter. We are just in preliminary discussion right now but this has the potential of being a really good deal for me if it all works out. In addition, it is located right across the street from my property and would be a great location for me to work in. More on that later as things develop, but I am pretty excited about the potential right now. It wouldn't take much for this year to be an improvement over last, thats for sure. Happy New Year to all.

Glad to hear your ok brother, I've lost a patrol car to a deer myself. thanks for the pics and stay safe in the new year.

I'm at work...saving lives and property.

Okay....so we really chowed on some awesome chili with fresh cornbread, kielbasa, and warm brownies with ice cream for dessert.

Happy New Year to all!

Thanks Buckethead and S.Todd (for keeping people safe, Bummer about the Stang!) My Brother just called me last night from down your way. He was on his way too a gig at the old Egremont Inn. Long haul for him(from Lanesboro) in 8" of snow. That's dedication! Me, I prepped for a dinner for 8 planned for today (helped the gal) while the wind howled and temps dropped too minus 15 with wind. The old Glenwood C was stoked with wood and some coal and the oven gauge pegged on 500. I baked some sweet taters in record time too be mashed and twice baked today while getting a small turkey brined and ready. We were both up at the stroke of midnight (had my allotment of one Shipyard Export Ale) for a kiss and wish for the New Year. Hope everyone has a great one.

i watched tv with the wife till just after 12. nothing was on so we watched more episodes of dog the bounty hunter than i care to count. i was watching ripleys believe it or not but she dont like the gross stuff.

Had to work at the Fd till 11. went toa friends party ended up breaking up a fight that took out his porch rail. Then i had to take one of the drunks home and put him to bed. Im about over the partying. I tell my wife " I would rather be busting wood".

We had 2 families join us for finger foods and a few drinks, everyone went home around 10 and our kids were in bed by 10:30 and wife and I were in bed by 11. When we all got up we said happy new year and had a nice breakfast. Happy to have a good time without getting #### canned like 'the good old days'. We are all healthy and making a living, have a nice home and some nice things so I am happy!

All I am gonna say is that my head is throbbin a bit this mornin.

Happy New Year!

Stayed out til 3am, had an awesome time! Saw a band called Clutch and another band called Viking Skull, they played til about 1am then went to a club and hung out with some skanky goth chicks, had a few Capt. and Cokes, came rolling back to H town about 2:45, stopped at Dennys for a quick bite, lit my first fire of 2009 and sacked out til noon.

"Jesus on the dashboard!"

MJ12 damned us to Hell, tastes just like chicken they say.

We used to have a "hole in the wall" metal bar here, I used to live there it seems.
Saw a bunch of stuff, before it was "cool", there. Manson when he was just starting, Clutch a few times, Gwar once, Ugly were regulars I forget who all else. It was a real "gun and knife club" type of place, I miss it:)
