OK, so arborday is trying to tell me that the weather in my area has warmed 10 degrees?
I think that the conditions of global warming and global cooling are part of the overall climate of the planet, and hardly affected by man.
I see a map from the USDA that morphs into a map made by arborday.
imo, arborday has a political motivation in the making of this map, and regard it as propaganda. Odd that our average temps (here) this fall/early winter have been below normal, even during our warm spell here lately. The weather people here have been constantly raving about unseasonably warm temperatures and that the highs are slightly below normal for this time of year during their segments. ok, its warmer than usual, but colder than normal? WTF?! :D
Who's to say that the usda map is correct, or if the arborday one is either? imo, these particular maps in this small particular time were used for a reason, and that reason is not actual climate change.much like algore's gobal warming data which was easily shown to be manipulated data/ years of data.
if you go back to the next recent set of data, instead of global warming trends, you actually see a cooling one.

all I know about is the 11 year cycle in sunspots, dimming us
and something about the moon receeding at a rate of a few inches a year.

all this global climate stuff, I'm not up on, but catch what I can as a part of my anthropology interest.
tell me about it.

A interesting fiction read is State of Fear by Michael Crichton. At the end of the book he gives his personal opinion on the subject after doing a lot of research on the subject. The book is also loaded with a lot of links to internet sites for you to check out some facts.
