I just bought a new 590, how do you turn up the oiler, I can hardly see any coming from mine!My 590 feels like it puts out plenty of oil for a 20” bar. Did you turn the oiler up all the way on yours? Mine wasn’t fully open from the factory

There’s a screw on the bottom of the saw, turn it all the way CCW, that’ll open it up and get the oil flowing nicelyI just bought a new 590, how do you turn up the oiler, I can hardly see any coming from mine!
What cuttinstihl said. Plus, if you look at the bottom of the saw, you'll see a little embossed figure where the adjustment screw is.I just bought a new 590, how do you turn up the oiler, I can hardly see any coming from mine!
I've run Sunoco canned fuel (93 octane) since my saw was new.My 590 just went from 8000 RPM - pulling solid in a log - to 10,000 RM, by changing fuel. I had been using Liberty non-ethanol 87 octane (that's what the station carries). Then I found a Pure Gas station that carries 93 octane non-ethanol. The saw became the animal it's supposed to be. Another saw of mine had been difficult to find the tuning sweet-spot with the 87, but also responded nicely with the Pure 93. It's worth the addition $0.50 per gal.
