Has anyone done this? I have an 85 f700 with a teco 50ft on it. I was thinking about getting a newer boom installed preferably overcenter on both booms and maybe a little taller if possible. Anyone know where to look to find the boom?

It's hard? I was thinking 4 bolts, and 2 wires JK yep looks like a good winter project. I just need to find a boom and I may have a go at it. How hard was it? any tips?

the booms are heavy i used a 150 komatsu excavator on one end and a 3 yard payload on the other you think its easy 4 u bolts and 2 hydro lines:hmm3grin2orange: do it then tell me :yoyo:

The way emmisions laws are going and how complicated trucks are getting I wouldnt be suprised to see trucks kept and bodies switched more.;)

a little taller on the boom?

How much will this affect the tipping factor? Sounds like a formidable project. Good luck and post some pics of the progress.

if you have the time, equipment and money then go for it, I'll bet you could find a good boom assembly through some sort of salvage company that deals with heavy equipment parts, stop by your local salvage yard and ask...

When one of our guys totaled our bucket truck we swaped it with the Prentice. Put the trucks rear to rear, undid all the bolts, put a few 55gal drums under and pulled the one out, backed the other in. Skyworkers werent that heavy tho.
