Cherry Tree (Yoshino) planted 3 months ago by builder. 2" diameter trunk. Watered 1-2 times a week. Lately some leaves turning yellow. Noticed some gum seeping at bottom of tree, no sawdust or frass so probably not borer related. Is this gummosis caused by some sort of stress to tree ? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Tree is in Cary, North Carolina.
