OK guys I need some details. Talked to the PGA chairman earlier today, and it sounds like I might be leaving the site on the 5th of october. Give me some details of where and what time. I would like to make it. I won't have my 066 done, as I leave at the end of this week, but should have a couple other saws worthing of making a good work saw competition.

Steve, Marks house is in Frederic, MI. Its off 75 at the "Waters"exit. Time....anytime, Brandon and I got there around 10 last time, and left around 4 or 5. If you want to stop off in Lansing first, we can caravan up. Let me know and Ill get you specific directions either way.

Glad to hear that you might be here Steve. There is plenty to keep all occupied here so feel free to come whenever you want. You won't be bored!
Maby if you score my parts you can bring them with ya. See you there.
Mark

E J Mcnamara and Rick Helsel will be here. I went to Manton for the lumber jack festival and saw those guys, it was a blast.
BIKE SAWS will be here this time.Only a month from today,
Mark

I went to Caddilac yesterday and met with Rick Helsel. He donated some fresh poplar logs. I will be cutting them square for the comp.

Thanks Rick.

Rick Helsel said he probably won't make it here on the 7th. He did indicate that E.J. will be here at our event with bike saws.
I got more logs from Cliff Helsel this morning so we got wood guys!!!!
Mark

I'll be there, at least the plans are free right now.

What saws should I bring? I have a couple quick huskies that I will bring for sure.

I've got a topend to switchout on a 372 and a 066 that needs put back together that I'd like to have done.

Anybody going to have any piped gas saws? I have one that is a very fast saw on pipe, but don't know if it is too much for a mostly CSM GTG. lol.

Mark, how far is it from say, the detroit area? I'm just trying to figure driving time. I can make Detroit in 3 1/2 if I'm moving pretty good from my place.

How'd those parts work out for you? I hope that thing is up and running by now!

-Steve

Steve, bring whatever you want!!! Rick had a piped 3120 last time.

I wouldnt call it a CSM GTG. Really just a GTG, friendly.

Marks house is 165 miles from Lansing, right at 2 hours driving 70-75 mph.

From downtown Detroit its 225 miles to Marks roughly 3.5 hours, THATS A LONG DRIVE!!! Steve, we dont want you to put all those miles on your rig. Drive to Lansing, and let me drive us up.

DAMN, 7 hours????

I've got no problem driving, and will have a bunch of saws that will need storage space. lol.

I can drive or meet up with you guys, doesn't matter too much to me, other than it looks like I'll be leaving at 3am.

Hi Steve, Glad to hear that you are comming. Bring whatever you got!! EJ is bringing bike saws but not sure what he feeds them.
It takes about three hours from Detroit,I-75 north to the Waters Exit(think it's #272)turn right,go to first blacktop road on right(Sherman rd) about 3 miles on the right is my house,I'll have signs out to help.
Parts are great, saw was running but doesn't want to start right now.
If you have a tach, can you bring it?See you then.
Mark

Thanks Mark. I have a tach and will bring it, actually, I would have brought it without you mentioning it to fine tune the couple saws once I got up there.

I would love to make this one, but I am stuck in AnnArbor with a sick baby.
I grew up spending the summer in Frederic with my Great granfather who lived on the corner of 612 and Manistee river rd and with my uncle John Harmer who grew up in the area and retired to a place on the Asuable just south of town.

EJ has one of the best line ups of raceing saw I have ever seen.He has everything from alky 3 cubes to 440 cc alky nitro burning bikesaws.

He has a 2100 husky that is very fast Phill won Nelsonville with that saw.
He also has a few 166 dolmars with 090 jugs (a few 6 to be exact) His 3120 flat @ss flys.

That is just to list a few of the saws that he will have at Marks. We don't want to forget about the bone stock 7900 that spanked the Blind River Ont. race lol. hahahahahah Timberret@rd & Croftnuts. :biggrinbounce2:

Rick

Let see 70 miles cross state from where I live Hmmmm.
We will see. is this a family thing or what?
