Nice Little Hospital Stay

So, last week after my son's Judo tournament, I was not feeling real good, went to bed, woke up at 3 and was in terrible pain, I mean terrible, went to emergency room, ended up being admitted into the Iowa City VA Hospital.
Double Pneumonia, My white blood cells were 37000, normal is between 5-12000, I guess that was almost fatal, the Doc were freakin out, giving me all these test, felt like I was on House! My whole body felt like it was gonna explode, couple shots, BIG SHOTS, of morphine helped, a gazzillion antibiotics and Im back home. What week!
Guess I had it for several weeks, docs couldn't understand how i was able to go so long with out dropping, I told them that I was an Arborist, and that is the way we roll.
My son is now state champion for his age/weight by the way!
Maybe this week I can make some money!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I have had pneumonia 4 times when I was a kid. Not fun.

I rarely get sick but had a pretty tough spell a couple of years back when I had to work a lot in the snow and rain due to an ice storm. I lost my voice for 2 weeks, regained it for a week then lost it again for another week. Almost a month without being able to talk. I'm sure my crew appreciated that. Anyway, I had worked 31 days straight and was more exhausted than I have ever been in my life. When I finally took a few days off I slept for two days straight.

Too much work in the elements can really wear you down. Got to learn to take care of yourself. At least I need to anyway.
