On a poulan 361, should I put a little sealant on the clutch side case where it goes inside the other case? It didn’t appear to have any on it when I pulled it apart.

The company I work at has sold bolts to Polaris and Cat since the 70's . I like to support the end users of our products .
No, but always use a new 19004 o-ring! Years of being compressed turns it flat instead of round.
Aww man this sled thing is a new world. It didn't even occur to me about old ones never lived in a snowy winter world.

Vintage sleds are a pretty big thing. It's a real cheap and fun way to enjoy the hobby. To top it off the vintage snowmobile community is pretty tight know and everyone helps each other out.
End of last winter running the '72 Deere and '74 Polaris tx.
worked at a garage in 75, sold polaris. got to ride 500 triple a lil.
ff to early 80's, friend had ol 440 jd. last sled i was on. killed it for him.
he still rides old ones. i havent since.

So parts are still about for those old beasts? My favorite video game 20 years old ago was sled storm you got extra points for hitting the rabbits haha

First thing i did with those sleds is replace the steel recoil rope ! Vintage lives .
