image.jpeg image.jpeg don't let anybody else use your saw. Well, to make a long story short, I was taking down some trees to put in a garage and had to ask for help. Dont clumb, so a friend of mine came over to help me out. She is pretty dam good too. Anyway we are cleaning up and I brought uot my 262, yes the same 262 that I was bragging about a couple of weeks ago. Well, she asks me to use the 262 for some cleanup and I say sure. Its on to the pine tree. She is going to take it down and she looks at me and asks if she can use the 262 to do it. Sure says I, grinning from ear to ear. "That 262 is a running bas'ard" she says. Well, the pine trees branches got caught up with the oak trees branches sitting next to it, and I see the pine trees trunk do a piruette on the base, dragging my beloved 262 with it. I stare on in amazement and then in a state of depression as I see my belived 262 hit the ground with the trunk of the pine tree in hot pursuit. It was almost too much to bare. As I went up to my belived saw She couldnt stop apologizing. "Its alright, sh## happens" say I, holding back the tears. As i reach down expecting to pull up a carcass, my beloved saw was still alive and breathing on her own!! Oh, happy days!! But sadly, she lost an accessory, but I will give her a new one as soon as I go shopping. image.jpegWimage.jpeg

Thats a sad day!!! But also a good day that you only need a bar!!!! The last time i loaned a saw out was for a guy cutting cedar trees for fence poasts on a windy day.... well long story short my super 2 has a bent clutch cover area and a new bar. Funny thing is it looked just like yours. Keep on cutting wood enjoy!

That's what happens when You let Your common sense down because You are looking at the wrong girl! :innocent:

Should have given "her" a Poulan or Wild thingy or whatever other cheapo supermarket saw and then enjoyed the view. ;)

Bar looks cool - keep it as a reminder!:)
I am glad that Your 262 and Your friend got away with a scare.

Thats how i got my 031 and 032's. Friends loaned them out and got them back broken. Gave them to me and bought new ones. The 031 came back with a hole in the aluminum gas tank. I patched it and gave back to him only to loan it to the same guy again! He dropped it again in the same spot and another hole in the tank. I never found out how he managed to do it, but they werent friends any longer. Noone touches my saws except my dad. He pickier than me.

Damn, cant get it started. The switch was off (I always put it to "on" after I shut it off) so maybe I flooded it. However it doesnt pull like its flooded and looked down the bore and didnt see alot of fuel. I'll give it the nite and try again tomorrow.

Good news..it starts up and runs just fine. It was really flooded. Getting a bar from Frawleys. No, I'm not native but i beleive in their connection to mother earth and the spiritual realm. I think they were (are) very spiritual and very wise. The bear is my totem (so I've been told!) hence the name.
