Looks like one of those old Homelite Blue chainsaws, masqurading in Craftsman yellow.

Right on Johncinco

I've never had any luck at buying a used saw. They end up being part saws real quick.

The best saws that have given the best prformance are the ones purchased new and maintained by us.

Seems that no matter where we go people are always trying to sell us a saw. Story is pretty much the same, runs good, hardly been used, blah blah blah. I had to learn the hard way when it comes to buying used saws. Most have been run hard with dull chains with improper cheap fuel mix, that eats em up real quick.

Hey, I think I have one of those old "Blue Homelites". Homelite Wizard I think it is called. I had a hard time getting it running (picked it up curbside for nothing) but it sure made a lot of smoke and noise. Didn't cut worth a crud though.

I've since picked up a 346XP. :D
What a difference 15-20 years makes in technology.

Deja vu: Was in the dealer getting a new chain when I spotted a Homelite 5-20. Looked like it had been through at least 3 wars. Guy found it in a shed and was planning to rehab it. I looked at it, picked it up and as you say. Thank the powers that be for progress. I had forgotten how clumsy and heavy those old saws were.
