Had a call a few days ago to grind portions of 2 crossties out of a railroad bed. The guy wanted a bid over the phone. I told him a minimum of $200 due to trashing a set of teeth. I'm glad he never called back. What's some of ya'lls oddest request?

Going to do a job tomorrow, customer wanted the ends of the roots ground up so he could run some type of line out, gave him a high price and said, great when can you be here!!!!

Hmm, odd requests...
I too do most bids over the phone. You can never ask enough questions.
I went to a job that was described as a raised bed "bring boards for ramps" and found the bed was 4 1/2' high. I declined that one.
I went to a simple "one stump" grind that turned out to be buried in 4" of crushed granite. Large surface roots as well. The owner upset that there would be an extra charge for raking away the rocks said he would call me when he got it done. I have not been back.
Bamboo!! I did a job that included some bamboo that needed to be removed to pour a driveway. He said he tried a mini trackhoe and could not budge it. It grinds, a little messy. It grinds.
