I may be all wet, but I didn't think the Jonseys of that vintage had adjustable oilers.

This is one of later models before they went to the 2071. The repair manual shows an adjuster and how to remove and repair it. Unless it is an automatic adjuster which cannot be changed?

Remove the side cover, bar and chain. Clean the surface where the oil pump is located (behind and around the clutch). The oil pump will have an adjustment screw. At 90 degrees to the slot will be a mark. On the pump housing will be four numbers. Set the mark at one, for least amount of oil, and at four for the most amount of oil. That's all there is to it. If you're facing the clutch, the location is at about 10:00. It may be tough to see at first, as it is behind the clutch.

Both of my 600 series Jonsered saws have a black plastic adjuster screw head...doesn't show up real good in poor light.
