old asplundh wood chipper

I bought an old asplund chipper from a friend. I knew it needed work. I'm in need of a hoof products fuel governer. Model#3d533f. c7jz12450f. pat. nos 2.646.269 2.880. 984. I checked with the ford power products in my city. They said the governer is no longer manufactured. If anyone has any suggestions. I wonder if someone could rebuild it for me or if someone has an old chipper that is no longer in use. Please contact me with information. Thank You. God bless.

Also, the motor is a ford 391.

I just bought an old vermeer 1600. mine has a lot of new parts, engine, clutch, bearings. I need the bed knife tolerance closer. I know that many of these old things are still around so parts are still easyly available. Just got to look around. Good luckk God Bless.

Hoof Products governors were acquired by Pierce Lockcraft, IN, as I recall. I had a reference for an old parrts guy there..probably wrote to them or called from number on their web site.
