I picked up a old drum chipper tonight and I am wondering what it is under all the crappy paint. I believe the original color was yellow but then there is evidence of a crappy blue paint job only to be followed with teh even worse black paint now.

As for the ID I belive it is a Asplundh but I am hoping some experts will let me know. I am a vintage saw guy not a vintage chipper guy

Thanks,
Bill

Looks an awful lot like one I bought this spring. 1973 Asplundh TC, 330 ford industrial v8. Had not run in years and took a while to free it up, figure it out and damp the vibrations, but now roars like a bear. Have not seen exact manual, but JEX, JEY manuals will work. Good luck.
