MB,
when i started climbing in89/90 my wage was about £180 take home which was good considering alot of my mate's were on training schemes and would be lucky to take home £50.i guess why that's why i could always afford better motorbikes than them!!!!after 14 years i now earn between £400-£550 a week as a self employed climber.how does that compare with you guys in the states?

In very broad, general terms, conversion is close to $2 to £1
Today a pound'll fetch $1.80, so blue is raking in $720-990/week.

How many days/hours do you work? A lot of time off for rain? do you siesta as they do in Louisiana?

I luvs me an afternoon siesta, but I also enjoy stacking up the Franklins whenever I can.
Home by noon is $150, 1 or 2pm, $175, 3 or 4pm, $200. Generally speaking.
I guess I work 30 to 40 hrs a week.

GUY,
i normally only work 5 days a week but sometimes do the odd saturday for the guy i do most of my climbing for.as four hours, start around 8.30 finnish when done.this can sometimes be early say about 1pm or late (latest was around 7pm)it all depends on work load.saturday's are normally real easy jobs finnishing around 1pm followed by atrip to the pub.forgot to mention fridays we always finnish early so we can go to the pub(wife has to pick me up).dont usually lose many day's due to weather as there is always some job kickin' around that can be done.how does this compare to the states?
