I have an old Homelite Super XL automatic. When using gas sprays out by the fuel line connection on the tank side, due to pressure buildup in tank or whole fuel system. Help??? Any thoughts would be appreciated

Is it a rubber fuel line on it ?If yes,i guess the fuel hose has a small hole in it.And if she have a copper fuel line, the nut is loose at the connection,or the line itself is cracked, probably right under the nut close to the tank.

Could be the molded type fuel line. I really hate those, I usually switch them to Tygon line and grommets, they are a lot better.

Could be as simple as the rubber valve in the fuel cap if it has that style cap... It will be hex shaped and have a brass screen on the side for a vent. The rubber deteriorates and then causes problems often mistaken for carb. problems...if the piece is missing or removed it can cause a leak ;)
