This is for a 2100 but, it's the same model carb that you have.

It could be you don't even need a carb kit. Pull the needle, check the rubber tip for damage. If it looks ok, check for dirt down in the seat. Blow it out real good. The saw was running ok just a couple of days ago, so I would suspect something is wedged in between the needle and seat to cause the leakage. It's worth a look.

Gentlemen, I've been slabbing wood for the past hour!! :)

I took the carb off (again) now that I have the file from Grande Dog (dude, free beer next time you are in Tokyo!!!) and I checked everything out, the little rocker arm that controls the inflow valve was WAY out of where it was supposed to be, set it flush with the frame of the carb, like the instructions say, and I was back to sawing!! YEAH!! (when I cleaned the carb up, the outside of the diaphragm was full of sawdust)
(sorry, crap cellphone pics)

That is three 6 cm thick slabs of Sakura, they are HEAVY :D

Here is a close up of the grain....

I think this wood will make some nice stuff.

BTW, it was not as smokey in the Dungeon as the pic looks, the hatch was open and the exhaust fan was going, so it just looks really smokey.

Now for some more good news!!

We called a different Husky shop, this time I did not tell the guy the saw, I just told him the parts number I need, and I asked for a couple of spark plugs, and a spark plug wire from the saws that "HiOctane" mentioned on the other thread. The parts will be shipped to me, I'll have them by next week!!

The guy said the part number for the carb kit did not exist in his books, but he did find the same part number, but it starts with "503" not "501"...?

We both wondered if it was the same thing.

This guy was very helpful and suggested stuff like that part number. He also said that if the parts can be had from Husky HQ, he can also get them, so he is willing to work.

Boy does the saw start and run great now, need to tweak it a bit more but I'll do that outside somewhere.

So off to the wood lot tomorrow morning to start some more logs!!

Boy have you guys been a HUGE help, I'll keep you posted and take lots more pics!!

Yahoo!!

Make mine a Kirin. That part number 501 22 34 01 is correct. In the US price lists it supersedes to a RK23HS which is Tillotson's part number for the kit. If you have a APO or a FPO shipping is cheap. We ship product from wood splitters to files to Japan all the time. If you ever need anything, let us know and we'll quote you a price with shipping included.

Glad to hear you're up and running STU.

Hay Dennis, I think its becoming evident that an ME degree from MIT doesn't help a poor fellow one bit in being a good problem solver!

Thanks.

I'm heading to the wood lot in the morning, so I got to get it done, I did get some new sparkplugs, and a sparkplug wire, but can you believe it, the cap for the wire was not included, it needs to be ordered seperately, I thought it was all one piece!! :censored: !!!!

Yes you can call me Stu-pid

Oh well, I'll run the saw with the top off, scare the locals some more!

Here is my bits and pieces bodge job.....

Cheers!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help.

Grande Dog especially.

I got an e-mail from my Dad in Canada, he went to the Husky Dealer in town and got the stuff I needed, the carb kit, and the spring as well.

All is well in the world.

I have to wait until my daughters get back to get the parts, which will be Jan 8th, but at least I'll get free shipping :D

This place is a great resource, thanks again everyone!!

Cheers & Happy New Years!!
