The log [plural]
I moved them about 200 ft,to get them out of the lane to the woods.I have them raised on blocking, and sealed with anchorseal. My sawyer, who is a lineman,by trade, should be back from Florida, sometime next week.I am not sure if his little Woodmizer will handle the butt log,but he has cut some for me as large as 38" by 16 ft.The logs in the picture scale out at around 1600 to 1800 bdf, depending on whose scale you use,and the skill of the scaler,of which I don't profess, unlike a few on this site,to be an expert. In addition,I have several hundred of crooked and short logs that I may mill my self[ not my favorite use of a chainsaw].Besides all that, there appears to be a tad less than 2 full cords of fire wood.Lotsa wood in that old duffer.
