I have the chance to buy an old but in good shape stihl electric bench chain grinder. Its made in West Germany which i know doesnt exsist anymore. What is this thing worth?

Photos and model numbers might help.

New STIHL grinders might be in the $600 range - but 'yours' is not new. Parts might / might not be available for it. You can get a new Italian grinder for $300 $400 - used ones for less. Is this one worth more to you?

get a better picture of the whole thing..
I used to have one, picked it up at a pawn shop for 250$ i think.
I ended up selling it on craigslist for the same price, 250$

It was kind of a lot of work to set up, you really had to know what you were doing to get all the different angles right.
worked good once set up tho i guess
