Going to look at an older craftsman saw tomorrow. CL find. Guy says that it is yellow in color, 24" bar, and about 20 years old. Only thing I can think of is MAC 610. Anyone else have an idea? I'd rather not waste my time for a 610.

Did sears ever rebadge Echo saws? I thought all of the sears poulans were red or grey?

Ideas?

Could be a Roper, most likely the older generation 3.7 or the D series which was more of a gold color. Those 3.7 saws were sold in light blue, orange, yellow, gold, silver, green, red, brown, rust, etc..

I have not seen any Mcculloch chainsaws branded for Sears.

Could be a David Bradley.

There was an Echo in the Sears line up, all of the yellow Echos that I have seen were branded for John Deere.

I wonder if it is a D-44 where the color turned due to sun exposure?

That would be a 1980 model (i think). Echo dropped the 302 in '80 or so to move up to the CS-302S so maybe they sold the older model to Sears....Bob

20 years old would be 1990. I know Sears was selling Mac610 family saws in the early '90s when I was working for Sears Service. They looked like any other Mac610 sold at that time, with only the addition of a tiny Sears model # in one of the decals. Very 'low-key' compared to the usual Sears practice. Wards also sold Macs around that time (and a bit before that).......but they spec'd decals which were much more 'private label' than the Sears Macs. Don't think Sears sold many of them.......................as they were mostly selling "Craftsman" badged Poulans (as they still do today of course).

I don't think Sears was selling any other yellow, orange, or red saws at that time. The Craftsman/Poulan saws of that era were grey and black...
