Older Vermeer 1250 Early 90s

Friend of mine just picked up on of these machines. It has two blades I believe an 8" and 12" not sure on those sizes though. I guess it was owned by a few people and since been repainted a few times. Where do they hide the serial number? Anywhere on the machine because all tags are missing.

Also anyone have adjustment specs for the knives?

Try emailing vermeer, they might be able to send you a manual and should be able to answer your questions.

i have a later 1250 bc it has 4 knives 2 12 inch and 2 8 inch. when you call vermeer you will have to give them the type of motor diesel gas make of motor perkins cummins and size.i had the same problem painted several times no serial #.the best thing to do is take the part with you to vermeer to match it.

Hey thanks for the info everyone.

I managed to find the serial number it was on the frame down underneath. Looking at the machine from the front(engine) it would be on the right frame section.

As far as figuring out what adjustment specs for the knives I haven't gotten that far yet, have the knives just no specs.

the specs are the size of the blades 12 inch 8 inch and how many bolts go through them.the bevel should be 35 degrees

The specs for the knife to shear bar is .080-.120"
