I used to have it bookmarked, but my link is dead now. I did find <a href="http://www.poweret.com/vserver/hb/display.cfm?ArticleKey=2481"> this, from power equipment trade magazine </a>, talking about the 2159.

<edit> I have a current link to OPE magazine: http://www.greenmediaonline.com/ope/2002/0206/default.asp., but it isn't carrying an article on the Red wonder chainsaw.

I had to re-reply on that article. Man, am I intrigued by that new cylinder layout.

Looks good, transfer ports look huge and opened out into the case. Hot-rod guys are probably drooling over what those removeable transfer-port side covers mean to die grinder access.

Does this design format follow into some other new saws, like the 365/2165, 372/2171 or the 385 (and lets hope soon to follow Jonsered 2185)?

Dennis, you out there?

I fired up a new 2159 for a customer today. Nice saw! He was replacing his tired 630. The 2159 has a nice feel and barks pretty good at WOT in the cut.

eyolf, hello,
yes it looks really good to modify , easier access to the transfers. it does have tamperproof cap screws but that just makes it more fun. hopefully they will change the rest of the jonsered and huskys over
